MANIFESTO

Through this manifesto, the English Evangelical Church, wants to inform the public the situation of pastoralists Protestant pensioners or their widows, the right not to be recognized by the Government of Spain to recover this pension.

Franco's dictatorship did not allow pastors Social security contributions, because they refused to acknowledge their professional status. So that, today, retired pastors or their widows, are not paid a state pension.

Arrival democracy, both the English Evangelical Church as FEREDE have applied to the different English governments to give a solution to the problem. The Popular Party were ignored, and the English Socialist Party promises, but so far has not fulfilled its promises.

Therefore, the English Evangelical Church of the English government sought to give an immediate and final solution to the historical injustice which means that English citizens continue for years without being recognized their right to collect a retirement pension of the English State.

Viorel Ionita, Acting Secretary General of the Conference of European Churches and Samuel Kobia, Secretary General of the World Council of Churches have written a letter to José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, Prime Minister of Spain , exposing the injustice in which evangelical pastors are retirees and their widows, by not accorded the right to collect pension from the English state.
