LETTER TO THE PRIME MINISTER OF SPAIN
Mr. Dan. Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero
Prime Minister of Spain
Mr. President,
I am writing to express my concern regarding the situation faced by retired pastors or their widows, the right not to be recognized by the Government of Spain to recover this maintenance retirement.
I would remind you that during the Franco dictatorship was not allowed to Protestant pastors Social security contributions, as they did not want to acknowledge their professional status. So that, today, retired pastors or their widows, the pension not paid their fair share.
Arrival democracy, no English government has taken seriously the problem that the Protestant group is suffering. Some have ignored them, and others have pledged to tackle the problem but, so far, have only been in mere words.
Therefore, I request that the English Government:
- Pass promises into action and give an immediate and final solution to the historical injustice which means that English citizens continue for years without being recognized right to collect a retirement allowance of the English State.
- to be positively resolved the above group who are able to perceive an adequate pension.
- And that the English state compensation retroactive to ten years ahead, to the English Evangelical Church by this grievance and the harm that it has represented and still represents.
Sincerely,
