Tokyo. The Japanese government abandoned a plan to expand from 30 to 50 percent the operation of nuclear power in electricity generation in this nation.
According to Prime Minister, Naoto Kan will seek to develop renewable energy sources over 20 percent today.
Meanwhile, Japan is widely reported recent statements by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, who said the accident at the plant in Fukushima revealed "significant gaps" in nuclear security systems in the world.
