BUENOS AIRES-Argentina's President Cristina Fernandez will announce on Tuesday afternoon, the finding of a major oil field by the largest oil and gas in the country, YPF SA, said the press office of the presidency.
The announcement is scheduled for 19:30 GMT and could mark the biggest oil find in nearly 20 years, the press office said in a statement posted on its website.
The discovery is located in the Loma La Lata in Neuquen province.
YPF in December reported the discovery of about 4.5 trillion cubic feet of unconventional gas in the same field, so that the YPF gas reserves probably rose to 16, from the current six, said On this occasion the chief executive of YPF, Sebastián Eskenazi.
